Gilroy Downtown Business Association (GDBA)
There’s always something going on in Downtown Gilroy
GDBA is a volunteer organization that fosters community by creating a unique and vibrant downtown that encourages and promotes economic growth and sustainability through advocacy and marketing while respecting the downtown history.
We coordinate our activities with a number of organizations. In addition to all of the downtown businesses, we also work with Tammy Brownlow and Gilroy Economic Development Corporation who help in attracting new businesses to Downtown; Jane Howard, California Welcome Center Gilroy, Mark Turner, and Gilroy Chamber of Commerce who help in marketing and promoting Downtown.
One of the City of Gilroy's goals is to revitalize downtown and we coordinate a number of our programs with Carol Marques, our current representative on the Council, and Roland Velasco, the mayor.
We have a comprehensive approach to the revitalization and ongoing success of Downtown Gilroy following the guidelines identified by the California Main Street Program:
Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring; and to be the advocate for Business Owners, Property Owners, and Residents of Downtown Gilroy
